Vodafone has announced that it will be the first to launch the HTC One Max in the United Kingdom ahead of other carriers.

HTC One Max, the company's latest flagship smartphone, will be available in the United States on leading wireless mobile carriers, Verizon and Sprint, later this holiday season. But if you are living in the U.K. and you want to be among the first ones to grab the 5.9-inch HTC phablet then consider switching to Vodafone because the phone will be exclusively available on the U.K.'s leading network for the first few weeks after its launch.

HTC fans on Vodafone's network have a reason to celebrate as the wireless carrier will list the new HTC One Max among other One smartphones for purchase. The new flagship smartphone will be available on a 24 month Vodafone Red 4G-ready plan from £49 ($78) upfront and just £47($74) each month, Vodafone said in its Blog Post, Monday. The offer includes choice of Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV access, along with 2GB data each month. To add more excitement to it, Vodafone offers an extra 4GB data per month if customers sign up before the end of October.

However, the unlocked version of the device is available for pre-order under two retailer's site. Clove UK has listed the device for around $940 (£589.99), while another online retailer Handtechas listed it for around $939 (£587.99). The cost of the device is for the 32GB version and is inclusive of all taxes. Besides, the HTC One Max is yet to arrive on other retailer sites and with other U.K. carriers, which will be sometime considering Vodafone has the exclusive right for few starting weeks after launch.

The HTC One Max sports a large 5.9-inch super LCD with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution. It takes cues from its predecessors in terms of design. The One Max is powered by fast 1.7GHz quad-core processor and has 2GB of RAM. It has a fixed 3,300 mAh battery, which is not customer replaceable. HTC One Max also mirrors the iPhone 5S fingerprint technology, letting you quickly unlock the phone or launch specific apps. It runs on the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features HTC Sense 5.5 along with HTC UltraPixel rear-camera and a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone will directly compete with the large screen smartphones in the market, including Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So will you buy the new HTC One Max once it is launched in your country or go for other competing smartphones in the market?
