The latest casting update on one of the most anticipated movies of 2015 and the fourth installment of Jurassic Park franchise, "Jurassic World," is that Ty Simpkins has been signed up for one of the leading roles in the movie.

The fourth installment of the most anticipated movie franchises of all times, "Jurassic Park," may finally have its kid star for the upcoming "Jurassic World." Ty Simpkins, who impressed the audience with his acting skills in the movie "Iron Man 3" opposite Robert Downey Jr, is set to take one of the leading roles in the dino-adventure film, Deadline reports.

Simpkins, the 12-year-old young actor, was the smart, witty sidekick of Tony Stark in the film. Simpkins became the first child actor to be featured in the Iron Man franchise. The young actor made his debut in the Spielberg-directed "War Of The Worlds," starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. Besides, he has also appeared in films including "Revolutionary Road," "Little Children" and both "Insidious" films.

Simpkins appears to be the right choice for the franchise as he fulfills the cute quotient and has experience in roles alongside aliens and demons and a dinosaur adventure would be the next suitable step.

This would be a great opportunity for Simpkins, as his acting career will shoot off further with this role. The first three films of the franchise had grossed more than $1.9 billion worldwide, says the report.

The "Jurassic World" will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and is set for a June 12, 2015 release, with a script from Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, and Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley producing.
