Though everyone within the Oakland Raiders organization believed in quarterback Derek Carr's talent and knew Amari Cooper was a slam dunk at No. 4 overall, no one could have expected just how good the Oakland offense would be overall. Yes, that's right, the same Oakland Raiders that haven't enjoyed a winning season in over a decade are suddenly wild card contenders thanks to their potent offense.

As of right now, Oakland ranks 11th in total yards (2,997), eighth in yards per game (374.6) and seventh in points per game (26.6). But along with Carr and Cooper, free agent signee Michael Crabtree has also emerged as a go-to option. Overall, all three have made convincing cases for consistent fantasy football roster spots.

"Former 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree continues to thrive with breakout star quarterback Derek Carr, as he topped 100 receiving yards for the second consecutive week and scored two touchdowns in Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh," ESPN Fantasy Football Insider Eric Karabell wrote. "Crabtree, one of the top fantasy pickups of the week, hasn't played this well in years, and he gets overlooked because rookie colleague Amari Cooper is so good. Cooper also had a big game Sunday, but Crabtree is seeing similar targets and big-play opportunities. The Raiders are for real, at least offensively. Carr has to be considered at a top-10 quarterback at this point, despite there being more than 10 legit options. Cooper warrants top-20 wide receiver status weekly and Crabtree is closing in on the designation as well. Plus, you have to like the Raiders' schedule."

The basic stats help make the argument for each player.

Carr is on pace to surpass his impressive rookie numbers with 2,094 passing yards and 19 touchdowns against just four interceptions in eight games this year. He's also completing 63.7 percent of his pass attempts.

Cooper has hauled in 45 receptions for 653 yards and four touchdowns. He has caught at least five passes in each of his last three games.

Crabtree, the hidden gem, has caught 47 balls for 591 yards and five touchdowns. The 28-year-old has likely played himself into a long-term contract with the Raiders.

All in all, Oakland's offensive skill position players have been steady fantasy contributors and are worth roster spots in all league formats going forward.
