She's known for her wacky and weird taste in art and fashion as well as her idolation of the late superstar Michael Jackson, but most would likely be surprised to learn that Lady GaGa is currently engaged in a bidding war over MJ's gruesome head injury photographs, the Mirror reports.

Lady GaGa is currently bidding on a particularly strange item from Jackson's estate, a reportedly graphic picture of his scalp being opened by doctors after his infamous special effects accident in 1984 while filming a Pepsi ad.

The photograph reportedly came with medical records from the incident, being sold by Flatsigned, a Nashville-bases auction house on behalf of ambulance driver Brian McDaniel.

McDaniel claims to have found the medical records in a trash bin in Culver City, Calif. near where Jackson was treated for his injuries, including second-degree burns to his scalp, at Brotman Medical Center.

"Lady Gaga's attorney and ours have been dealing with each other and she's very much in the frame," Tim Miller of Flatsigned told the Mirror. Miller expects the photos to be auctioned off for at least $1.25 million.

As for the "Applause" singer, GaGa has reportedly spent over a $1 million already on over 55 Michael Jackson memorabilia items, including his studded leather jacket from "Bad" and his famous sparkly white glove.

"The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide," the star tweeted after her big purchase last year. A source claims that GaGa plans on opening up an archive and museum to showcase the items for fellow fans.

The Mirror predicts that if she does win the head injury photographs, she'll likely put those up on display as well.
