Michigan State Police were able to foil a plan developed by three teenagers to perform a mass school shooting. Ryan Stevens, 18l, Lamar Dukes, 15, and Cody Brewer, 15, have all been arrested and will be charged as adults, according to Daily Mail.

On Oct. 28, Daniel Allen, Police Chief of Argentine Township, received information about a possible school shooting to be held on Oct. 30 at Linden High School and Linden Middle School, leading him to file a 24-page report and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Russ Ciesielski, the Linden Community Schools Interim Superintendent, said that he worked hand-in-hand with local law enforcement to protect the students and staff.

"After I reviewed it, I felt all the information there was credible and we just had to track down the individuals that were involved." Allen said. "I passed that information on to the FBI. The FBI was able to assist us," according to MLive.

"There were potential targets at the high school and the middle school," Allen said. "From what we gathered they didn't really care who else got in the way either."

"After becoming aware of the information, we worked with law enforcement, and within our district's emergency procedures, to ensure the safety of our students and staff." Ciesielski said in an email to the Flint Journal. "The quick actions of our administrative staff, and law enforcement officials, helped to keep our schools out of harm's way. Based on the information we were given, and communication with law enforcement, it was decided that the situation did not call for a 'secure-mode' or 'lock down.' The investigative process is in the hands of law enforcement; we will continue to correspond and cooperate with law enforcement as new information is discovered," according to WXYZ.

A hearing has been scheduled for Thursday for Stevens, Dukes, and Brewer, who are all facing charges as adults.
