The latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" TV reveals new footage and a little more insight into Lupita Nyong'o's character, Maz Kanata, who narrates the 30-second teaser.

Nyong'o's alien character, who has yet to be seen in any trailers, explains that "she has lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes."

Maz's words play over new footage of the Millennium Falcon cruising toward her castle on the planet Takodana; Rey (Daisy Ridley) holding her staff and conversing with BB-8; and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) on a snowy surface alongside Finn (John Boyega).

Other new footage includes Rey bashing a dark figure with her staff on her desert planet; Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) fending off one of Rey's blaster shots with his crossguard lightsaber; and Rey at the controls of the Millennium Falcon as its come crashing through a snowy forest.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will land in theaters on Dec. 18.
