In honor of the CMA awards earlier this week, Jimmy Kimmel premiered a special country music edition of the show's popular Mean Tweets segment. Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker were among the many musicians who appeared on camera and read mean tweets directed at them out loud.

It was all in good fun for most of country music's biggest stars. CMA Artist of the Year Bryan was up first as he read the mean tweet, "You ever gotten so drunk you said a Luke Bryan song actually wasn't that bad? Me neither."

Former Hootie and the Blowfish singer Rucker could not contain his giggles as he read his mean tweet, "Some of my best friends are black, but Darius Rucker sucks ass."

Even the CMA hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood could not escape their harshest critics. "One time someone took a s--t, rubbed it all over a blank disk, put it into a CD player and out came the first Brad Paisley album," Paisley's tweet read.

Underwood barely understood the tweet that was meant for her, "I don't know what he just said," she laughed to the camera.

One of the highlights of the video was Willie Nelson laughing at his mean tweet that suggested marijuana works wonders because the 82-year-old was still alive. "You got it," Nelson responded.

Kimmel has previously released College Football, NBA, NFL and musical editions of Mean Tweets.
