Fox News has long been a favorite target for comedians, but the news outlet has now inspired a new comedy from "Harold & Kumar" star Kal Penn and the writers of the stoner flick franchise, Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz.

ABC is developing a single-camera comedy called "Fair And Balanced" (the same slogan used by Fox News), which will revolve around an aspiring NPR reporter who is swayed to work at a Fox News-type channel, according to Deadline.

Penn will serve as an executive producer on the project, written by Schlossberg and Hurwitz. The "House" alum's real-life experiences appearing on news shows, serving as a correspondent for Vice News and working as an associate director of the White House Office of Public Engagement will also inform the storylines.
