The Dallas Mavericks are starting to get healthy now and they have started off the season OK especially when you consider the injuries to key players they have had. The Mavericks are 2-2 but have had Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews miss a game and Chandler Parsons miss two games. All three of those guys are back playing now and because of that it may have pushed John Jenkins out of the rotation, according to Rotoworld.

Jenkins played in each of the Mavericks first two games and averaged 19.5 minutes per game in those two contests. Since those two games though, Jenkins has gotten back-to-back DNP coaches decisions which may be a big indication that he is not in the rotation. The last action Jenkins saw was last Thursday when he got the start against the Los Angeles Clippers and he scored 17 points. Despite the solid performance, Rick Carlisle has still not found ways to get him in the game and unless there is an injury or two it will likely stay this way.

Matthews and Parsons are both currently on minute's limits while Carlisle is considering one for Williams. The fact that their minutes are limited would seem to be a good sign for Jenkins but the Mavericks are so deep at guard that it still likely won't help him get on the court.

Behind the starters the Mavericks have J.J. Barea, Devin Harris and Raymond Felton who are all currently ahead of Jenkins on the depth chart. Coming into the season it seemed like Jenkins may have had a shot at playing time ahead of Felton but Carlisle really sung his praises throughout the offseason and doesn't appear to want to take him out of the rotation anytime soon.

Jenkins is 24 years old and is in his fourth NBA season, the first three of which were with the Atlanta Hawks. In his three years with the Hawks Jenkins never got much of a chance at consistent playing time so when he signed with the Mavericks he was hoping that would change and through the first two games it looked like it might but now he appears to be out of the rotation once again.
