An Uber driver was attacked by his passenger, a Taco Bell executive, this weekend in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Uber driver Edward Caban has posted a dash cam video taken inside the vehicle during the attack.

Caban said that on the night of Oct. 30, he picked up his passenger Benjamin Golden. The video shows that the 32-year-old seems to be drunk and that he was only giving directions to the driver and not the exact location he was heading, according to Business Insider.

Caban then placed a pepper spray can under his thigh since he was not at ease during the ride. He decided to pull over at the Costa Mesa shopping center and asked Golden to get out of his car.

"You're too drunk to give me directions," Caban said on the video, according to CNBC. "I'm kicking you out, man."

This is when Golden attacked Caban by punching him multiple times. Cuban defended himself by using a pepper spray aimed at his attacker.

Costa Mesa Sgt. Jerry Souza said Golden was taken in for misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and assault. The police have also verified that the video that went viral was the same video they reviewed before taking in Golden, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The executive has been immediately terminated from his job. Taco Bell has released a statement regarding the incident.

"Given the behavior of the individual, it is clear he can no longer work for us," it said, according to ABC News. "We have also offered and encouraged him to seek professional help."
