Is it just us or is Marvel's "Doctor Strange" shaping up to be one of the best cast movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Benedict Cumberbatch leads the way as Stephen Strange, an arrogant but talented surgeon whose hands are damaged in a terrible car accident. In an effort to repair what he has lost, he discovers the magic and mystical and eventually becomes Earth's protector as the new Sorcerer Supreme. Rachel McAdams, fresh off her hard turn in "True Detective," has also locked down a mystery role as the female lead. Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor will play comic book villain Baron Mordo while Academy Award winner  Tilda Swinton will play Strange mentor The Ancient One. Oh, Madds Mikkelsen ("Hannibal") will likely be involved somehow as well.

Now you can add yet another talented name to the list. Michael Stuhlbarg, who plays Andy Hertzfeld in "Steve Jobs" but who you probably know from "Boardwalk Empire," is in talks to join the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His role as of now has not been disclosed but his inclusion marks a first for him in the superhero movie world.

"Doctor Strange" will be directed by Scott Derrickson and is scheduled to begin production in next month in London. It is slated for a November 4, 2016 release.
