A Pakistan-based clergy group has raised severe objections to Indian model Arshi Khan's sex tweet. A fatwa has been issued against Mumbai-based model for claiming that she had sex with Pakistan's star cricketer, Shahid Afridi.

"Yes, I had sex with Afridi! Do I need the Indian media's permission to sleep with someone? It's my personal life. For me it was love," Khan wrote in a September tweet referring her physical relationship with Afridi, according to Zee News.

The fatwa by a section of Pakistani clergy was issued because the clergy claims Arshi's sexy tweet put Pakistan and Islam in bad light, according to Times of India.

The controversial Mumbai-based model expressed her disappointment over the religious diktat and filed a police complaint against it, according to ANI.

"Very disappointed with Pakistan. Not a word of support for me from anyone against d fatwa. Wake up Pakistan @SAfridiOfficial," Khan tweeted on Saturday, according to abplive.

"I am not afraid of anyone or any fatwa Allah is my protector. Neither Shiv Sena or any Mufti can threaten me," she wrote.

She also posted 'my response to fatwa' on YouTube.

Khan is known for her controversial remarks. Khan had also offered to pose nude (privately) for Afridi in another (public) tweet.

Earlier, she triggered a huge controversy by accusing contentious Hindu god-woman Radhe Maa of running a sex racket and pushing her into prostitution.

Khan recently posed nude for renowned nude photographer Lynn Baxter in Goa. (See below.)
