George Clooney will pass the "Ocean's 11" torch to Sandra Bullock, who will lead an all-female reboot of the popular franchise, according to The Playlist.

The "Gravity" co-stars have had the projects in the work since last year with Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games") directing and Steven Soderbergh, who directed the previous "Ocean's" films, producing. The late producer Jerry Weintraub had also been working with Clooney and Soderbergh on the project.

Screenwriter Olivia Milch has been working on a script for months and has already turned in a draft of the screenplay.

Bullock's latest role in "Our Brand Is Crisis" was a part originally written for Clooney, who also served as a producer on the movie. She lobbied him to gender swap the role because she enjoyed the script so much, according to Deadline.

Details about the female-centric "Ocean's 11" movie are being kept under wraps, and it's unknown what connection, if any, Bullock's film would have to Clooney's version.

The fun really begins when it comes to casting, which should have its options wide open with little regard for race or age. Names already being called out around the Internet include Ross' "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, "Spy" star Melissa McCarthy and "Scandal" actress Kerry Washington.
