The holidays are just around the corner and it's time to go shopping. Wal-Mart and Target have unveiled their holiday season plans, according to the Associated Press. To get shoppers into stores even earlier this year, both retailers are offering huge discounts and revamped stores.

The deals for both stores start Sunday, Nov. 1, according to Bloomberg Business, and this year, the competition between the two is very intense.

Target is offering free shipping and returns once more to compete against Wal-Mart who only offers free shipping on sales over $50.

Many of the items discounted at both stores include iPad Minis and smart TVs, according to USA Today.

At Wal-Mart, online rollbacks are up 15 percent from last year.

Both stores are offering price matching to guarantee that customers get the best deals possible.

In stores, customers will notice a change as well. There will be more toy demonstrations in Wal-Mart stores, as well as carolers throughout the holiday season. In Target stores, the white bulldog with the red bull's-eye that has become the company's mascot will be more prominent. They will also be moving around sections of the store to make it easier to navigate and more appealing to customers, according to the AP.
