Odell Beckham Jr. burst on the scene last season when he won NFL Rookie of the Year and he quickly became a household name when he made that ridiculous one handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys that many people call the greatest catch ever. Beckham is known for his insane athleticism on the field and his extremely complex touchdown dances but he is also a huge hip hop fan and he credits Drake with giving him the motivation to be as great as he is on the field.

Beckham did an interview with Rolling Stone for their "The Die-Hards" series and in it he spent some time talking about his motivation and how he listens to Drake before games.

"Whether [Drake] knows it or not, he motivates me. 'Energy' is one of his songs I'll listen to before the game. When he's talking about, 'Got a lot of people trying to drain me of this energy,' he's talking about what's inside of him that makes him who he is. It does get draining, because you want to give that to people, you want to see other people be great as well. I'm waiting for somebody to come along and do some crazy catch," said Beckham.

If Drake didn't know before this interview he will likely hear about it now as almost everything Beckham does has become mainstream news. Beckham actually said that he has been to a couple of Drake's shows and they have hung out a few times. Beckham considers Drake a friend and believes they have a mutual respect for one another.

Because of the catch and all of the fan fair that has come with it opposing players in the NFL have taken notice of Beckham and are gunning for him now. Beckham is not off to a great start this season with the New York Giants but he certainly has everyone's attention and he is using Drake's music to help push him through.

Don't be fooled though Beckham is loving all of the attention he is getting and it hasn't stopped him from having fun on the football field just look at him dancing pregame.

Beckham is bound and determined to prove that he is no one year wonder and while everybody that has seen a Giants game knows he isn't, he is striving to follow in the same path Drake has in the music industry. Drake was once considered a flash in the pan and there are still people that don't appreciate what he does but as Beckham says "he's a legend forever" and he hopes to get there someday too.
