Sheldon Cooper, who is arguably one of "Star Trek's" biggest fans, is about to get the surprise of his life on "The Big Bang Theory."

Adam Nimoy, who is the son of the late Leonard Nimoy, and Wil Wheaton, who has appeared on the show several times, are set to guest star in a special episode called "The Spock Romance," which will air on Nov. 5, according to Entertainment Weekly. The two will be appearing as themselves as Nimoy interviews Sheldon (Jim Parsons) for a documentary about his father Leonard, who played Spock in "Star Trek." During the interview, Sheldon is overwhelmed with emotions as he is both excited about being a part of a project like this and upset about his recent breakup with Amy.

Leonard Nimoy passed away in February and has been mentioned on "The Big Bang Theory" time and time again, as he truly is a "Star Trek" legend. He has never actually appeared on the show, but he did provide the voice of a Spock action figure during one of Sheldon's dreams on a previous episode, according to TV Guide.

The idea that Adam is creating a documentary to honor his father isn't a fictional project, as he announced earlier this year that he plans to produce and direct the documentary, which will be called "For The Love of Spock," according to Examiner. The two had been working together on the project in the months leading up to his death, and it is set to be released just in time for the 50th anniversary of the sci-fi series on Sept. 8, 2016. Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in two of the films, will be narrating the documentary.

"The Big Bang Theory" will move back to its original Thursday spot on Nov. 5 on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
