The Boston Celtics are hoping to be on their way out of another rebuilding process as they have a few young players, and a young coach, that have the potential to make this team a force over the next few years. The man who puts the roster together, Danny Ainge, has done a great job as the general manager and president of basketball operations of collecting assets and knowing when it's the right time to make moves. Ainge is now 56 years old but he says he has no plans to leave the Celtics any time soon, according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.

Ainge is entering his 13th season with the organization and he has seen both the good times and the bad times. When he first came on he took on a rebuilding project that eventually led to the "Big Three" era with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. Ainge put together that team and was able to get a championship for his efforts in the 2007-08 season. After that era Ainge once again tore the whole thing down and is currently in the process of building it back up as he is stockpiling assets and trying to get the right combination of players to make the Celtics a perennial contender.

Ainge has pretty much accomplished everything you could think of in the NBA but that won't stop him from continuing to work for the Celtics as he is not even thinking about retirement or leaving the organization.

"I don't see a finish line at all. I guess there's a finish line for everybody, but I don't see it. Listen, I've been around the NBA long enough to know that you never know how things are going to play out. I don't expect anything. I never really think about it. When I took this job and we came back, my wife wondered how long we would do it, but we really didn't know. Still don't," said Ainge.

On top of the championship Ainge helped the Celtics get in the 2007-08 season he also was able to win two as a player for Boston back in the eighties. Since he has accomplished so much Ainge says that his motivation now is to help everybody else in the organization be successful including Brad Stevens and the players.

Ainge also talked about how he has fun doing his job and even joked that what he does isn't a real job. He clearly still loves what he is doing and he is also obviously very good at it so the Celtics are likely ecstatic to hear that he has no plans of moving on anytime soon.
