Criss Angel took to social media to thank fans for their support amid his 20-month-old son Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos' recent cancer diagnosis, reported E! News. The toddler has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Australia.

The 47-year-old "Mindfreak" star posted a family photo to Twitter of himself and girlfriend Shaunyl Benson cuddled up on both sides of their son, who lies sleeping with a pacifier in his mouth.

"4th day chemo-Shaunyl,Johnny&I can't thank u enough for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers&support #amazing," Angel tweeted along with the photo.

Angel announced Friday that he was cancelling some of his upcoming Cirque du Soleil "Believe" performances at the Luxor in Las Vegas, as previously reported by HNGN.

"In light of a family emergency the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed. Thank you xc," he wrote on Facebook.

One of Angel's Cirque du Soleil colleagues said he has had more than 3,000 performances at the Luxor and has never missed one show.

"For many years, Criss has championed and raised money for various children's charities here in Las Vegas, but he never thought it would hit this close to home," Angel's colleague told local paper Las Vegas Sun. "This is a very personal family crisis."
