Lyft is offering free "zombie delivery" in New York City and San Francisco this Friday, Oct. 30, according to the New York Daily News.

The company was founded in 2012 to "connect people in their communities with convenient transportation," the company stated. The app is available in 150 U.S. cities, and the rideshare app is the fastest growing service of its kind.

The ride-sharing app is unleashing the zombies in celebration of Halloween, the Daily News noted.

Lyft is partnering with Skybound's "The Walking Dead" to celebrate the launch of the popular Scopely mobile game: Skybound's The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, according to The Business Journals.

Lyft app users can toggle into "Zombie Mode" and press "Request Zombie." Then Lyft's delivery personnel will deliver a chained zombie to the user's location.

Just in time for Hallow's Eve, Zombie Delivery Mode would be great to liven a Friday afternoon meeting in the office or bring Halloween's spirits to scare a friend working at home or surprise guests at a Friday night Halloween party.

Lyft will launch Zombie Mode between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time on Friday, Oct. 30.

The ride-sharing company has a sense of humor. It partnered with The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, whose comedians will play the zombie delivery men and women in New York City, the company stated in press release via PR News Wire
