The Dubai Airshow 2013 will be held at the Dubai World Central, a purpose-built site for the Airshow, which will attract over 60,000 attendees and more than 1,000 exhibitors.

The 13th edition of the biennial event will be held from 17 to 21 November 2013, at the DWC in Jebel Ali, Dubai, which is believed to be a central location from both Sheikh Zayed and Emirates Roads.

The previous edition of the Airshow 2011 was a grand success and attracted 56,548 visitors and 960 exhibitors from 50 different countries.

"The Dubai Airshow has firmly established itself as a key event on the international aerospace calendar and therefore, is always an important and exciting event for Honeywell," said Honeywell on the return of being an exhibitor for the event, according to the report. "We are currently experiencing high levels of growth in the region, and with our stand in a prime location and outdoor chalet we anticipate this year's show to be the largest yet."

The Dubai Airshow, which is conducted once in every two years has been one of the most anticipated aerospace events since 1989 which also gives an opportunity to the defense aviation community to gather and participate in the delegations programme.

The grand event is managed and carried out under the support of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Maktoum in collaboration with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.

"The Dubai Airshow has enjoyed exponential growth since its launch in 1989 and the last show in 2011 proved to be the best in our 22 year history," Alison Weller, Managing Director of F&E Aerospace, said in a statement earlier in February. "We are already planning our move to Dubai World Central in 2013 and look forward to growing the show at a venue that will be double the size of Airport Expo."
