It's been a while since we've seen the drunk, out-of-control Snooki we were first introduced to on MTV's "Jersey Shore," because once the show ended, she found love, had a baby and really got her act together. As someone who was non-stop partying and living an unhealthy lifestyle, her newfound love for fitness and change in diet made her realize just how stupid all the booze and junk food was making her.

In her new book, "Strong Is The New Sexy: My Kickass Story on Getting My 'Formula For Fierce,'" Snooki explains that losing weight and getting in shape were what it took to change her life forever, according to Yahoo! Beauty. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has devoted her life to being a mother, getting fit and staying healthy, and now when she looks back on her immature "Jersey Shore" days, she realizes how dumb she really came off.

"Although I was consuming thousands of calories a day during the party years, I was actually starving myself of healthy food. The more crap I ate, the stupider I got, as seen on Seasons 1 through 5 of 'Jersey Shore,'" she wrote. "When I stopped drinking and started eating lots of greens, whole grains, and lean meats, it was like my brain woke up from a five-year coma. My life turned around, and things clicked into place in my relationship and my career. What goes into your body comes out in your life. If you want success, love, and the strength to cope with anything life throws at you, feed your body the healthy food it needs."

"Jersey Shore" ended in 2012 after six seasons and that same year, she gave birth to her first child, Lorenzo, with her then-fiance Jionni LaValle, according to Us Weekly. She and LaValle then married in November 2014 just two months after welcoming their second child, daughter Giovanna Marie.

"I think it's made me grow up," Snooki told Yahoo! Beauty's editor-in-chief Bobbi Brown about being a mom. "Because you have a human being that's yours and you have to be an adult and be responsible. You have to realize that you have to grow up."
