Migrants seeking to enter Britain set fire to their tents at a refugee camp in Slovenia apparently out of frustration in waiting for transit papers, reported BBC News.

Some refugees suggested that the culprits felt their documents were not being processed fast enough and that they were not being put on buses quickly enough. They were also reportedly upset over a food shortage and lack of blankets at the camp.

Slovenian firefighters put out the fires that burned down temporary housing for thousands of men, women, and children, reported The Daily Express. Slovenian police said the group of men who set the UN donated blankets on fire chanted, "Let us go! Let us go!"

About 710,000 migrants and refugees fled Syria's civil war and entered the European Union since January 2014, according to Business Insider. The refugee crisis has caused political discord in the European countries.

"I am sorry for Europe. We did not think Europe is like this: no respect for refugees, not treating us with dignity. Why is Europe like this?" said Iraqi migrant Ari Omar regarding his treatment by Europeans.
