The “Boy Meets World” spinoff “Girl Meets World” has dropped a cast member before the pilot episode has even premiered.

Actor Teo Halm was slated to play Elliot Matthews, the older brother of the show's protagonist, Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), but Disney decided to change up the plot.

“So guys, Disney decided that it wouldn't work to have an older brother on the show; I won't be on Girl Meets World. Thank you to everyone,” Halm tweeted.

Danielle Fishel, who plays mother Topanga Matthews on the show, responded to Halm’s post.

“@TeoHalm Teo, you are an incredible talent and I adore you. You may still call me ‘mom,’” Fishel tweeted.

“Boy Meets World” original cast members are expected to return to the series, including Ben Savage (Cory Matthews), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Will Freddie (Eric Matthews) and William Daniels (Mr. Feeney).

Meanwhile Fishel is keeping busy before the pilot is ready to premiere. The actress’ literary agent told the TODAY.com Fishel will be releasing a book called "Normally, This Would Be Cause for Concern: Tales of Calamity and Unrelenting Awkwardness."

“A lot of people like to hear stories about her real life behind the scenes,” Fishel’s literary agent, Brandi Bowles, said. “She’s honest and relatable.”

Bowles also commented on what makes Fishel such a “relatable” celebrity: her role of Topanga on “Boy Meets World.”

“She really lives up to the character that she plays,” she said. “Topanga was always so likeable, and she was one of our feminist role models. In real life, she is that person. She’s gracious and warm and down to earth and not at all a diva.”

Fishel even took to her Tumblr blog to give fans the scoop about how many original cast members will return. Though she’s unsure who will make an appearance on “Girl Meets World”, she promised the spinoff will keep true to “Boy Meets World.”

“I wouldn’t trade for anything is the integrity and the heart with which BMW was made,” Fishel wrote. “I promise with the entirety of my heart that we will make GMW with the same honesty, innocence, and intelligence that you learned to expect from BMW.”
