Kate Hudson and Nick Jonas are the latest odd celebrity couple to spark dating rumors, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting the truth out of either of them anytime soon.

On Tuesday night's episode of Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," Hudson and Zooey Deschanel sat down with host Andy Cohen to talk love, high school memories and Megan Fox. One caller was brave enough to ask the Hudson, 36, flat out if she and the 23-year-old singer are an item, causing Cohen to show his excitement over the possibility.

"I love it when hot people are together. It's my favorite thing," he told the blonde beauty. "I hope something's happening, even if it's casual."

Hudson seemed to get a little nervous when asked, and tried her hardest to dance around the question without giving a full answer. "I don't like addressing any kind of gossip," she finally said.

The two were first linked back in September when Hudson was spotted at a few of his concerts and they were then photographed together at Disney World, as HNGN previously reported.  A source even said that the two have "absolutely hooked up."

Hudson told Cohen that it's hard to be seen with anyone as a celebrity who's constantly in the public eye because people are going to automatically assume things. She even said that her own agent has been named her "mystery man" on several occasions because basically anyone you're photographed with ends up being your potential lover.

"Honestly, you can't hug someone or talk to someone without it being a thing," she said on "WWHL."

But, she and Jonas are two people who weren't ever really linked or seen together in the past, so the world can't help but wonder - and hope.

While doing a radio interview on 94.7 Fresh FM earlier this month, Jonas also dodged a question about the dating rumors.

"I'm not gonna get mad at you, but I'm also not gonna talk about it," he told host Dana McKay. "I keep some things to myself. It's a strange place where a little thing can turn into a lot, but it's about how much of that you kind of want in your world and just living your life and knowing that people will have their opinion."
