A service manual of the upcoming LG Nexus 5 leaked online and tells all the details of this new smartphone ahead of its Oct. 14 release.

The service manual was first released by the Android Police. It shows the model number LG-D821. It has 281 pages showing all the details of its hardware, software, specs, diagrams, map, and troubleshooting procedures. There are also guides to disassemble it to see the rest of the internal parts.

The LG Nexus 5 boasts of a 4.95in IPS TFT display with resolution measuring 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is equipped with Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with each core as fast as 2.3GHz plus a 2FB RAM.

The new smartphone comes in two versions depending on the storage capacity: 32GB and 16GB. Both have a micro SIM card slot. It has an 8-MP rear camera and 1.3-MP front camera. The front camera is designed with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology which is commonly found on digital cameras and can withstand real-time shaking and vibrating. The user can still take a photo without a blurry result.

The 2,300mAh battery has a standby time of 350 hours. The talk time varies depending on the network which is 690 minutes maximum on CDMA and 230 minutes on LTE.

The new smartphone has three sensors: Accelerometer (which measures tilt and motion and detects rotation and motion gestures such as shaking), Gyroscope Compass or Gyrocompass (which automatically finds the geographical location of the device), and Proximity/Ambient Light and Pressure (which measures the surrounding light and adjusts the light used by the device). The same sensors are present on iPhones.

Dimension-wise, it is similar to that of LG Nexus 4.

One clarification though from the Android Police, the service manual is a draft version so it is uncertain if these are the final details. Click here to see the copy of the service manual.
