The lift scene with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze from the classic "Dirty Dancing" is one that will forever be embedded in our minds as one of the greatest dancing scenes of all time, and shockingly, it didn't take much practice - or any practice at all.

While promoting her new show "Red Oaks" and reflecting back on this iconic scene, Grey had some interesting things to say about the tough move. "I only did it on the day I shot it," she told The Guardian when asked if she's tried it since. "Never rehearsed it, never done it since. I don't know how all these people who reenact it have the guts to throw themselves into the arms of anyone other than Patrick Swayze. It's insane!"

As someone who has competed on, and even won, "Dancing With The Stars," people obviously thought there was a chance she could incorporate "the lift" into one of her performances. Turns out they asked her to do it "every day."

"It happened, enjoy it, watch it over and over again but never ask me to do it again because I'm too f-----g old," she continued while laughing. "I have a family and I want to live longer."

She and her partner, the amazing Derek Hough, took home the mirror ball trophy back in 2010, and now she's coming back to the show to help Hough and his new partner Bindi Irwin as they prepare to reenact this dance for next week's Famous Dances Week. Hough and Irwin are going to be performing the rumba to "(I've Had) The Time of My Life," lift included. "Normally, we can do our own versions of these dances, but they told us they want us to reflect the original as possible," Hough wrote in his blog on TV Guide. "We still have some freedom with it. The tough part is the lift, of course. I don't normally do lifts and I never really have done those on the show. And this is a really difficult lift to do. We try every day and we've gotten really close."

Hough continued to explain that he and Irwin even went to a lake to practice, just like they did in the movie, and that they're lucky to have Grey herself giving them some tips.

"We can't disappoint her!" Hough says of her stopping by rehearsals. "I guess it was easy to give us 'Dirty Dancing' because of my connection to Jennifer, but I think there are actually a lot of parallels between the movie and Bindi. Baby's 17 in the movie and so is Bindi. Baby wants to change the world. That's Bindi. Even Bindi's laughs when she gets goofy are so Jennifer. She's my Baby Bindi!"
