A family in Romania reached the end of their rope after a member of their family was supposedly possessed by the devil, leading them to force her head against a holy relic during an exorcism, according to Daily Mail.

On Oct. 14, a Romanian woman had an exorcism conducted on her amid the Saint Paraskeva procession, an annual pilgrimage of significance for many of the Christian faith, and the scene was caught on video.

In the video, the woman is seen convulsing and shaking as the congregation gathered around her and forced her face to a holy christian relic.

She is seen screaming and trying to escape as multiple members held her down as a priest prayed.

The day they chose to exorcise the woman is of significance as well, being the day that Saint Paraskeva of the Balkans performed miracles, according to Headlines News.

More than 200,000 people gathered to touch the remains Saint Paraskeva, what was believed to be the relic the allegedly possessed woman was forced to touch.

"The line spread to almost two kilometers with many having to wait more than 15 hours to touch the sacred relic," according to Detroit News Time.

During the exorcism, members of the congregation made cross symbols with their hands.
