UPDATE Oct. 14, 1:15 p.m. EDT: The incident may have occurred because of a lot more than just cocaine. Doctors are now treating the situation with Lamar Odom as an overdose. "Drugs were found in his system," a source inside Sunrise Hospital told E! News, adding that there was "loss of oxygen but also a possible stroke." He remains on a ventilator, and it's likely that there is an unknown amount of brain damage, but he is still unconscious and alive.

"Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system," the source added. "He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous. They're now having to fix all the damage it has done." While it is being treated as an overdose, they do not believe it was a suicide attempt. He had been partying since Friday, so they think he could have suffered an "ischemic stroke," which is typical with a cocaine overdose and causes a blood clot that prevents blood from flowing to the brain.

"The long term effects of his drug use have taken a toll on his body," they said. "And the binge this time was too much to handle."

Lamar Odom still remains in a coma and in critical condition at a hospital in Las Vegas as his lungs and kidneys are a serious concern, as HNGN previously reported. While there had only been evidence of him taking "herbal Viagra" so far, a new discovery claims there was also cocaine involved.

Apparently, the former NBA player had cocaine and opiates in his system, a hospital witness told TMZ. There were also track marks on one of his arms. As for his lungs, the fluid they found within them is a result of crack cocaine use.

Several of the people he had been partying with at the brothel where he was found have been coming to the hospital to try to see him, but they've continuously turned them down as only family can be around.

His father, Joe Odom, who is a former addict, is not handling the news well, but he did say Lamar is doing "okay," according to Us Weekly. "Just trying to take care of some business right now," he added while also asking for "prayers, just prayers."

His ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, her sister Kim and their mom Kris Jenner, as well as NBA star and good friend Kobe Bryant, have all been by his side in the hospital. Read the full story here!
