Jeff Daniels reprised two of his most famous roles last night on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in the same sketch! The "Steve Jobs" actor starred in a mash up of his "The Newsroom" character Will McAvoy and his character from "Dumb & Dumber" Harry Dunne in a segment called "The Newsroom Gets Dumb & Dumber."

The hilarious sketch centered on McAvoy as he interviewed host Corden about the state of late-night television, but the new intern Dunne could not stop interrupting the interview. The intern struggled to hold up the boom microphone, could not figure out how to use a selfie stick and even confused Corden for Andy Richter.

"You are what's wrong with television today," Daniels as McAvoy told Dunne in an Aaron Sorkin inspired "Newsroom" monologue. "It used to be that you had to be skilled, hard-working to make it in TV, but not anymore. ... But TV can be great again, with strong voices who don't need to shout to be hard. We can make it great again. That is our duty."

"You said doody," Daniels as Dunne replied.

Daniels won an Emmy for his role as McAvoy in HBO's "The Newsroom" in 2013. He also reprised the character of Dunne in 2014's "Dumb & Dumber To," according to the New York Daily News.
