A young woman questioned Donald Trump about equal pay for women and women's right to choose on Monday, at a bipartisan "No Labels" convention in Manchester, N.H., reported CNN News.

When presidential candidate Trump picked college student Lauren Rose Batchelder to ask a question, she first commented: "Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you can prove me wrong, but I don't think you're a friend to women."

The audience applauded her remarks.

"I knew I shouldn't have picked her," Trump responded, reported CNN. "I respect women incredibly."

Batchelder then said: "I want to get paid the same as a man, and I think you understand that. So, if you become president, will a woman make the same as a man, and do I get to choose what I do with my body?"

Her question was met with more applause.

"You're going to make the same if you do as good a job. And I happen to be pro-life. OK? I'm pro-life," responded Trump.

The next day, Trump posted on Twitter: "The arrogant young woman who questioned me in such a nasty fashion at No Labels yesterday was a Jeb staffer! HOW CAN HE BEAT RUSSIA & CHINA?"

On social media, Batchelder does indeed list herself as an intern for presidential candidate Bush. Earlier this year, she posted her support for him.

Additionally, she posted on social media that she attended events for the Democratic presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. On her LinkedIn page, she is listed as an intern for New Hampshire Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte, who said she's not concerned about supporting Trump as the GOP presidential nominee because she doesn't believe he'll win the party's nomination.

According to the Daily Mail, Batchelder's social media confirms that she is a staffer for presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

She has questioned other presidential candidates about how women are treated. In September, at a town hall meeting in Manchester, Batchelder asked Sanders how he would handle the college campus sexual assault issue, according to CNN News.

The Last Refuge, a conservative blog, reported that Batchelder erased several tweets from her Twitter history, deleting much of her social media history in an attempt to hide her history of supporting republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

Other presidential candidates attending the "No Labels" convention in New Hampshire were New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Vermont Sen. Sanders.

While Bush did not attend the convention, his spokeswoman Allie Bradenburger stated: "Like many in New Hampshire, Lauren is a student at St. Anselm's who is passionate about and active in politics and attended this event on her own accord. While this question was not sanctioned by the campaign, we can't help but notice Mr. Trump does seem to be very sensitive about being challenged by women."
