When we last left "Jane The Virgin," all matter of turmoil was afoot. There was a surprise wedding, a birth, a kidnapping and the possibility of old flames reigniting.

Season two of the acclaimed series debuts tonight on the CW, and in true telenovela fashion, expect resolutions to many of your burning questions pretty quickly.

"There will be some key decisions made with her relationship with Rogellio (Jaime Camil)," Andrea Navedo, who plays Jane's mother Xiomara Villanueva, tells HNGN in an exclusive interview. "I wonder what that's going to be because technically we are married."

"I also want to know what's happening with the baby, where is my grandson? I'm about ready to kill someone," she adds with a laugh.

Since its 2014 debut, "Jane The Virgin" has become one of TV's guiltiest pleasures and received many accolades. Star Gina Rodriguez won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical at the 2015 Golden Globes, and the series itself won a 2014 People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy, just to name a few.

According to Navedo, season two promises more of what fans came to love in season one.

"It's going to be a lot of fun from what I understand," she reveals enthusiastically. "Our creator Jennie (Snyder Urman) is literally shaking as she says, 'Oh my gosh, I have such great stuff for you guys.' But I want to spoil everything, so they don't tell us anything."

Expect some big names appearing this season too with Britney Spears (Oct. 26), Kesha and "Magic Mike" star Adam Rodriguez all slated for guest roles.

There's also a new permanent addition to the cast - Jane's baby!

"Yes, the baby," Navedo says. "It's challenging, having a couple of babies onset, I will say that. But we are loving that baby as if it were our own."

Season two of "Jane The Virgin" premieres tonight (Monday, Oct. 12), at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.

How does it feel to finally be a grandmother on the show?

I never imagined it; especially at this age I never imagined it (laughs). I know it happens in real life, and it's happening in my family in real life right now. I have a cousin who's having a baby whose daughter gave birth a month ago. They get to raise them together which is kind of cool. In my family my father remarried, so his kids are aged 14 and 11, my kids are 8 and 11, so my kids are going out with my father's kids, we have sleepovers and they come on vacation with me. They're kind of like cousins really.

It's obvious you all get along so well on the show. How excited were you to get working on season two?

It's actually been hard for the hair and makeup people, we just had a reunion for something and all we wanted to do was catch up. I had to apologize to my hair and makeup person for the reunion we were having in front of her. It's going to be a lot of fun; we were all so done with the hiatus and ready to get to work.

So you would've been happy to have worked right through?

Totally! It was really hard at the end. Kind of bittersweet because it's good to have a break, but we knew we were going to see each other so it was easy to handle the break. Could you imagine if this was going to be forever? There's no way we could handle that.

Are you excited about Britney Spears' appearance on the show?

I'm very, very excited about that. And I know it does create some conflict with Rogellio. It's going to be fun. I'm a big fan of hers, and I do work out to her music (laughs).

Do you know if your character is going to live her dream this season?

I know she has important decisions to make with regards to her singing career, but that's all I know.

Is there any chance that Vegas show you started doing with Jane's father Rogellio last season could happen for real?

I don't know, I would love to, I wish they would tell us; they give us tiny little crumbs of information.

What's everyday life like for you since the show became a hit?

It has and it hasn't changed much, I don't know why. I think it's more of a mental state, I feel like I'm the same person and haven't changed much and I'm pretty proud of how I've handled everything. A lot happened in a short amount of time and it was overwhelming, but the fact that being married and having kids, and I've been in the business for over 20 years, I guess that'll help to make me grounded. Trust me, my husband and kids keep me grounded and when I tell them to pick up their stuff they'll still give me backtalk. I'm still just a mother, and that's it.

Do your kids watch the show?

Yes they do, I wouldn't normally let them watch because it's not really appropriate for their age group with some of the sex and violence, but at the bottom of it all I like my kids watching people who love each other, so that makes it OK. I prefer that over violence. Actually my husband let them watch because I was here filming and they're all in New York, but I wouldn't have stopped them anyway because it's a nice way for them to say that mom is chasing any possible career and actually doing it. It helps give them permission to do the same thing.

Has Gina gotten a bigger trailer since winning the Golden Globe?

Oh, she has gotten so stuck up and so full of herself! We just can't stand her anymore (laughs). No, she's actually wonderful and hasn't changed either. She's the same person she was from day one til now. She handles all the success so gracefully and intelligently, she just got off a set working with Mark Wahlberg in some big-time movie and she comes back without skipping a beat, the same down-to-earth gifted girl who knows who she is. I love her.

How happy was she to say bye-bye to the baby belly?

Oh, she's so looking forward to that, she does have to wear a little bit of one in the beginning for the baby weight, but she's excited.
