HTC will unveil a new product next week and it has already sent out invites to a virtual launch. Observers expect that the company will reveal the new member of the HTC One family during this event.

The HTC product launch is particularly interesting for HTC fans because the past two flagships built by the company are quite similar in design. There is an expectation, therefore, that HTC will be introducing a new aesthetic philosophy.

The current rumors actually point to two possible devices. The first is the HTC O2. This is the alleged successor to the current HTC One M9 and the one that is expected to sport the new visual style. The change in the name - as opposed to using just One M10 - is said to connote "second gen One," according to Pocket Now. This piece of information further provides the clue about the degree of change that will be implemented.

The second phone is the HTC One A9, also referred to as HTC Aero. This phone - touted as part of the Hero brand - is considered to be the likeliest candidate to be released next week, according to Pocket Lint. There are already leaked images that purportedly show how the device looks like and some fans are not happy because the device resembles the iPhone 6/6S design. See the photos below.

The Aero is said to be within the mid-range category so it could be a strategy on the part of HTC to offer a premium hardware for cheaper price. Whatever the case is, the world will know next week what the company is cooking and you could be among the first to know about it if you watch the launch at this link.
