Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has made headlines yet again with his declaration that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who is accused of deserting his post during a tour in Afghanistan, should have been executed, according to The Washington Times.

"We're tired of Sgt. Bergdahl, who's a traitor, a no-good traitor, who should have been executed," said Trump. "Thirty years ago he would have been shot."

The GOP presidential nomination front-runner spoke for about an hour to a crowd of people at a Las Vegas casino and hotel Thursday.

Eugene Fidell, working the defense for Bergdahl, said that Trump's remarks have "become a broken record on this subject," and that "if he took the time to study what actually emerged at the preliminary hearing he would be singing a different tune," according to The Week.

Trump also mentioned his disgust for current media outlets and politicians, noting that Rep. Kevin McCarthy dropped out of the race for House Speaker as a direct result of his own influence, Fox News reported.

He also spoke with a Hispanic woman, whom he then called on the stage to take pictures with.

Bergdahl was charged with "misbehavior" and "desertion" in March. The U.S. Army has already held a meeting to determine whether the former sergeant would be court-martialed.
