Wiz Khalifa has become the first rap artist to hit one billion views on YouTube for his song "See You Again." The song also features Charlie Puth's beautiful voice and was featured on the "Fast and the Furious 7: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack."

The song paid homage to the film's late actor, Paul Walker and used footage of him throughout the music video.

Puth took to his Twitter account to explain why the song hitting one billion views was such a big deal.

"See You Again is not only the first rap video to hit a billion views but is also the fastest video to hit a billion on YouTube. Wow. Thank u," the singer and producer wrote.

Although the song was the first rap song to reach the incredible billion mark, there were still a lot of songs ahead of it. The most views for a music video on YouTube belongs to PSY's "Gangnam Style" that has an incredible 2.4 billion views on YouTube. The second place spot belongs to Justin Bieber's "Baby" while Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" is in third place.

"See You Again" narrowly missed out on being named Song of the Summer by Billboard and placed in second place behind OMI's "Cheerleader," which currently has only 193 million views on YouTube.
