Bayern Munich have won its last six games in the Champions League, Sky Sports reports.  In that span, Bayern has allowed just one goal.  The club recently dealt CSKA Moscow a 3-0 loss to begin this year's Champions League campaign.

United also won its opening Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen by the same score.  United can make a statement in the Champions League with a win over the reigning European champions.

"We started this Champions League season very well and it's important to continue that," United manager Manuel Pelligrini said, via IB Times.  "We've now got a game at home against the most difficult team in the group, so we need a big performance.

"We know Bayern are strong but we're in good form too and can take the points here.  We won't be going on the pitch thinking about drawing - we'll be aiming for the win from the first minute."

Pellegrini has never beaten a team managed by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola, according to BBC.  Still, Guardiola praised Pellegrini for the way the Chilean coaches his teams.

"I am really impressed with Manuel because I would like to be like him," Guardiola said, via BBC.  "No matter which club or team he is training, his teams play in the same way.  His fingers, his footsteps, his trademark is always there in his teams.  It has happened in Villarreal, Malaga, Real Madrid.

"If I beat them all the time, it was because I was training one of the best teams in the world, one of the best teams in the history of Barcelona.  Sometimes it was easier for me."
