Jennifer Lopez is pulling double duty at this year's American Music Awards. Dick Clark Productions announced that the 46-year-old superstar will host and perform at the award show, which is set to air live from Los Angeles next month.

This will be Lopez's first time hosting the show. According to AMA.com, Lopez will be performing material from her upcoming Las Vegas residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino that is set to begin in January 2016.

"From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs! It's going down 11/22 ON ABC!! #AMAsJLo," Lopez tweeted after the news broke, along with a college of photos from four of her performances at the AMAs.

Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth will announce the nominees for six categories during an episode of "Good Morning America" Tuesday, Oct. 13. Five additional categories will be announced immediately after on Snapchat.

"The show will feature the hottest performances from today's biggest artists and present fan-voted awards in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative Rock, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Contemporary Inspirational, Electronic Dance Music, as well as categories for New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl's, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Top Soundtrack," a news release said, according to United Press International.

The AMAs will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater on Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
