If you polled Philadelphia Eagles fans at this point, with the teams at 1-3, kicking rocks in the NFC East basement and generally struggling to look like a consistently competent NFL team on a weekly basis, you'd probably find just as many Philadelphians positively giddy at the notion of head coach Chip Kelly high-tailing it back to college as you are to find those who would wave away such a suggestion with the back of a well-calloused hand. While Kelly was handed complete personnel control this offseason, the results he and the fanbase had hoped for have not been there thus far, leading some to wonder if maybe his time as the NFL czar in Philadelphia could be short.

Unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on your perspective - it seems that won't be the case. Kelly, according to a report from Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, has addressed the rumors of his possible move back to college and, per Freeman, doesn't sound like a man looking to make a professional change.

"I've been hard on Chip Kelly, and he deserves much of the blame for the Eagles' slow start. Actually, all of it. But let's be clear. Kelly isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"The reason is simple: He has total control. A coach with the control Kelly possesses is extremely rare in the NFL. He has the keys to the car, and he won't give up those keys easily.

"According to a team source, Kelly has told people in the Eagles organization that he isn't moving back to college, and the idea that he would now is ridiculous. So, for the moment at least, that settles that."

So there you have it Eagles fans. The man who traded away Nick Foles for Sam Bradford, LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso, allowed DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to walk, hasn't drafted an offensive lineman in three straight offseasons and still hasn't won a playoff game, isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
