"Grease: Live" really likes Carly Rae Jepsen and has cast her to play Frenchy in Fox's live musical production, according to Deadline. Jepsen will take on the role formerly portrayed on screen by Didi Conn in the classic 1978 film version of "Grease."

The Fox musical also added Kether Donahue as fellow Pink Lady, Jan, and David Del Rio as the T-Birds' Putzie. They join a cast that already boasts Julianne Hough (Sandy), Aaron Tveit (Danny), Vanessa Hudgens (Rizzo), Carlos PenaVega (Keinickie) and Keke Palmer (Marty).

"Grease: Live" will reintroduce and reimagine the story of greaser Danny and new girl Sandy, which first started as a stage production in 1971 and had its Broadway debut in 1972. Jessie J will perform her new version of "Grease (Is the Word)" to open the live event. The Bee Gees' Barry Gibb wrote the song and Frankie Valli's performance plays over the movie's animated title sequence.

Thomas Kail and Alex Rudzinski will direct the live musical and Zach Woodlee ("Glee" and "Annie) will choreograph.

"Grease: Live" will air on Sunday, Jan. 31 on Fox.
