As usual, Carl's Jr's latest commercial features models in very little clothing eating ginormous burgers, but this specific ad touches on some political issues pertaining to the immigration debate that's currently dominating the 2016 presidency race. In the past, Carl's Jr. has brought on big-name models like Kate Upton, Audrina Patridge and Charlotte McKinney, and they never fail to become huge hits.

In this commercial, the sexy models are split up into two teams, Team Tex and Team Mex, to promote the hamburger chain's newest Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger, which contains an Angus beef patty, poblano peppers, applewood smoked bacon, Santa Fe sauce and pepper jack cheese. The models, who are in revealing sports bras and tiny bikini bottoms, play a game of volleyball against each other over a running wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, which has been a major topic in the current presidential debate.

The models featured in the video are Elle Evans, Bryanna Holly, Ashley Alexander, Alejandra Guilmant, Kara Del Toro and Brittany Ward, according to People. These models go head-to-head to figure out if the burger is more Tex or more Mex, and many people are wondering if the burger chain took this one too far.

"I don't think it goes too far," Del Toro told Fox News. "I think it's really sexy, and I think it's playing up on what's going on politically right now with immigration. I think it was a bold move for Carl's Jr. I love it, and they did the butt-slapping scene in slow motion. So, it was pretty hot."

While the two teams are split up between blonde Texas models and brunette Mexican models, another question that came up was if this was stereotyping women.

"I'm actually born and raised in Texas and [on] Team Mexico," Del Toro explained. "I'm a brunette, but I was born and raised in Texas. I think they just really wanted to differentiate, you know, this team as Hispanic and this team as American, and I guess that was an easier way to do it. So, you weren't confused."

While the commercial may cause some controversy, it will no doubt still sell burgers. Carl's Jr. has found what works for it, and that's putting its burgers together in an ad with beautiful, sexy women. As for where this idea came from, the restaurant hired one of the best advertising companies, 72andSunny, to get its idea across, according to Food World News.

"The inspiration behind the campaign was when during 72andSunny's research for the new Carl's Jr. and Hardees, Tex-Mex Bacon Thickburger, they discovered that on the border between the U.S. and Mexico, people would play volleyball against each other," the site reads. "They incorporated that as the main idea, wherein both stars will have their own team, and will be playing against one another."
