Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes' wife, Miko Grimes, was arrested on Sunday afternoon at Sun Life Stadium on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, according to Brian Ballou of sun-sentinel.com.

Grimes allegedly attempted to walk through an area that was restricted, and was where police had formed to control the large crowds, according to the arrest report. The report stated that officers gave Grimes several loud verbal warnings to stop, but that she kept going and when an officer grabbed her she broke away yelling obscenities.

Grimes reportedly resisted arrest, and kicked and swung her arms when officers tried to subdue her on the ground. After placing handcuffs on Grimes and lifting her to her feet she jerked her head backwards head-butting one of the officers, according to the arrest report.

One of the officers reportedly pulled out a taser, and warned Grimes to calm down. Grimes then followed the officers' orders without the use of a taser. Once being transported for her arrest she reportedly began resisting arrest again.

Grimes was booked in Miami-Dade County jail, but was released on bond later. Grimes was not only arrested for disorderly conduct, but for resisting with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Grimes is a sports radio host on 560-WQAM. A Dolphins spokesman said the team knew of the incident but that all questions should be deferred to the Miami-Dade police department, according to Ballou.
