Jordan Spieth capped off his historic PGA Tour season with an $11.485 million victory on Sunday. The 22-year-old won the Tour Championship ($1.485 million), which also made him this year's FedExCup champion ($10 million).

His earnings (sans the $10 million FedExCup victory) for the 2014-2015 PGA season reached over $12 million with today's win, which is the most in golf history - over $1 million more than Vijay Singh's record-setting $11 million in 2004.

Spieth came into the weekend having to face tough competition as Jason Day had been dominating the final months of the season. However, Day ended up falling behind on Saturday while Spieth's consistency, patience and clutch putter ended up being the difference. His final round 69 put him at nine-under par for the tournament and kept Henrik Stenson (-5), Justin Rose (-5) and Danny Lee (-5), Dustin Johnson (-4) and Bubba Watson (-4) at bay.

"I have an opportunity now, with a year like this and a bonus like that, to celebrate and to share it with the people that have made it possible," Spieth said, via Steve DiMeglio of USA Today Sports. "Our team did an unbelievable job this year. Everything was exactly how we needed it to be to peak at the right times. If we can continue to do that, then we'll have more seasons like this."

The season-finale victory gave Spieth his fifth of the season, which includes wins at The Masters and U.S. Open. According to the PGA Tour's Twitter account, he's the youngest player since Horton Smith (21) in 1929 to win five times in a season. He also became the youngest player to win the Tour Championship and is the only player ever to win The Masters and the Tour Championship in the same season.

Spieth was under par in each of his four rounds this weekend and also managed to regain his status as No. 1 in the World Golf Ranking. He gave golf fans a season to remember at just 22 years old.

Here are this year's final FedExCup standings:

1.     Jordan Spieth

2.     Henrik Stenson

3.     Jason Day

4.     Rickie Fowler

5.     Bubba Watson

But don't worry, the 2015-2016 PGA season will begin on Oct. 15.
