The daughter of grunge rock legends Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, Frances Bean Cobain, secretly married her longtime boyfriend, Isaiah Silvas, Wonderwall reported. The couple had been engaged since 2011 and together since 2010 before they exchanged their vows.

Cobain apparently did not invite her mother to the intimate affair and instead called Love after the ceremony, reported The Mirror. Love was said to be very "sad" she missed the nuptials and wasn't there to support her daughter on the biggest day of her life.

"She only invited a close circle of friends to the party, and then phoned her mum afterwards to tell her the good news," a source told The Mirror.

"Courtney and Frances have had a strained relationship over the years, but after tons of fall-outs they actually get on quite well now," the source added. "Courtney is sad she wasn't there, but she totally understands that Frances is her own person and she's happy to let her do her own thing. Plus, Isaiah is a really nice guy."

Things between the mother and daughter started to get rocky in 2009 when Cobain applied for her father's mother, Wendy O'Conner and her aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, to become her legal guardians. Four years later the two seemed to be getting along better.

Love and the Nirvana front man had a similar low-key wedding ceremony, according to Yahoo! News. Cobain wore his pajamas to the ceremony because he was "too lazy" to put his tux on.
