It's been about two months since Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced that they were ending their marriage, and after reportedly spending time partying with his male friends, Shelton is finally opening up about his relationship with Lambert.

The newly single "Honey Bee" singer addressed the rumors surround his speedy divorce during an appearance on the Bobby Bones Show on Wednesday. Their divorce was already finalized within hours of their separation news.

"In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, whatever we had," the 39-year-old country star said about his divorce. "Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or 10-day waiting period until it's over."

Us Weekly revealed details on how the couple divided their assets, in which Lambert received the couple's Nashville property and Shelton will keep his Oklahoma ranch.

"We knew if rumblings and rumors started coming out, they would just be that because by the time anybody knew anything it was over. It was done," he added. "Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this, it is what it is. We're buddies."

The couple met in 2005 when they performed a duet of "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma." Lambert later admitted that she had fallen in love with Shelton during that performance, but at the time, Shelton was married. They later became a couple after his divorce in 2006.

The former country power couple has been attacked with breakup rumors since getting married in 2011, and they released a statement in July announcing their divorce after four years of marriage and 10 years together.

"This is not the future we envisioned," the former couple told the Associated Press in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

Despite being divorce, Shelton and Lambert have communicated several times via Twitter.
