Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade and Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant on Tuesday used social media to trade jabs.  The offseason exchange came after a perceived slight from Durant in a video interview, ESPN reports.

Durant disagreed with Sports Illustrated's ranking of the top 10 players in the NBA, and he expressed his difference of opinion in a video interview on Tuesday with Cinesport.  When asked who was missing from the list, Durant answered, "I think you're missing James Harden."

As for who should be taken off the list, Durant said: "Dwyane Wade."

The OKC star, who was ranked No. 2 on the list, didn't elaborate.  But Wade didn't like Durant's response, and the veteran took to Instagram.

"9-24-13: Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the Top 10... Note to self* Make him respect your place in history ... again ..."

Durant then seemingly fired back on Twitter.

Durant and Harden played together in Oklahoma City from 2009 to 2012, when Harden signed with the Houston Rockets.

Wade has struggled the last two seasons with knee injuries.  His production has been down, but the nine-time NBA All-Star has been working all summer to return healthy.  Wade and the Miami Heat defeated the Thunder in the 2012 NBA finals, which he was likely referring to in his Instagram post.

The two teams meet Jan. 29 and Feb. 20.
