Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy injured his ankle against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, but the X-rays reportedly came back negative, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Lacy was injured in the first quarter and did not return to the game. Running back James Starks replaced Lacy and ended up rushing for 95 yards on 20 carries. The Packers out-rushed the Seahawks 127 to 119, and the ground game likely helped Green Bay edge out Seattle 27-17.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers took care of business against the "Legion of Boom," throwing for 249 yards and two touchdowns. The loss of a top running back like Eddie Lacy doesn't seem to sting as much when your team has an MVP quarterback.

There is no timetable for Lacy's return, but the Packers would likely be smart to play it cautiously with their dominant back. The last thing the Packers would likely want to do is push Lacy back to early, resulting in a worsened injury.

Lacy is in his third season in the NFL, and has been working his way up to being one of the best in the league. Last season he rushed for 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns. He rushed for over a thousand yards in both of his first seasons in the league.

The Packers will likely play it safe with their top running back, as he will be key during the cold weather months of the football season.
