The upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat update from Google has been seen once again ahead of its release date. This time reports say it is on the Nexus 10 tablet inside the Chrominium Bug Tracker. People are taking this as a sign that an Android 4.4 update will accompany the Nexus 10 sometime in the very near future.

Earlier this month, Google announced the new Android update, as well as the continued desert name KitKat, which will come to replace Andoird 4.3 Jelly Bean as the company's most up-to-date operating system. While the company did take the opportunity to announce the name and launch a contest with Nestle, it did not divulge information on important details regarding Android 4.4 such as its release date and features. The company is likely saving these for a launch event.

However, rumors put the operating system coming out someitme in October. The reason for this is that it is expected to come along the new Nexus 5 and new Nexus 10 devices from Asus according to GottaBeMobile. Rumors have suggested that October 14 as the most likely launch date. It is important to note that until Google makes anything official, the Oct. release date is still just speculation form educated guesses.

The 4.4 update has already been discovered in Chrominium Bug Tracker and has been spotted again on the Nexus 10. Rumors speculate that the new operating system will be available as an update for the Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and the Pantech Vega Iron.

Specs for the new operating system from Android include small updates to fragmentation changes, including screen resizing, Miracast updates, color changes and a new notification widget menu.

It would be a good move for Android to release its new operating system as soon as possible to take some of the air out of Apple's tires. The company just released the complete redesign of its iOS and made it available to download on most of its major mobile devices. A new OS from android would give those customers something fancy and new to play with on their existing smartphones.
