Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe's stay with the Cleveland Browns could ultimately prove to be a short one. It may not end during the 2015 NFL season, but it very well may not extend beyond, even after Bowe joined the franchise via a two-year, $12.5 million deal that carried $9 million guarantees this offseason. According to a Sunday morning report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, there are some in the Browns organization who would prefer to "move on from" Bowe, who they feel has "underwhelmed" to this point, as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, it seems that $9 million guaranteed figure may be what keeps the perennial disappointing Bowe in a Browns uniform until the deal runs it's course. The Kansas City Chiefs, the team that drafted Bowe into the league, suffered much the same fate at the hands of the former first-round wideout. While Bowe has shown flashes of being a quality receiver during his career he's never been able to perform to a consistently high level. He's struggled to stay healthy thus far in his Browns career and it seems, barring a sudden resurgence, that his time in Cleveland will be marked by only more frustration and disappointment.

Elsewhere on the Cleveland offense, while recent first-rounder and franchise quarterback hopeful Johnny Manziel will get the start for the Browns against the Tennessee Titans, the job will remain with veteran journeyman Josh McCown when he returns from his concussion, per a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The Browns are reportedly "pleased" with Manziel's work ethic and overall improvements this offseason, but McCown was named the starter thanks to his efforts in training camp and Manziel has not done enough to unseat him.

Let's see if his performance against the Titans can chance that thinking.
