Sprint announced Monday that it will begin sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $349.99 on two-year contract and Galaxy GEAR smartwatch for $299 without contract starting Friday, Oct.  4, 2013.

Sprint will join the leading U.S. wireless carriers like AT&T to begin sales of the most-talked about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 along with Galaxy GEAR smartwatch, Friday, Oct. 4. While it is highly important that U.S. carriers offer leading smartphones and devices to attract new buyers and sustain its existing users, it also means good business for the networks.

Sprint announced Monday that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available for $349.99 with a new two-year contract and the Galaxy GEAR smartphone will be on sale for $299 without any tied contract. Customers can purchase Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint's newest "One-Up" early-upgrade plan, which is touted as the best deal than any other network in the U.S.

Sprint's One-Up offers $220 saver per annum compared to T-Mobile's Jump and eligible customers can upgrade their device starting Friday. Customers can choose from Sprint's Unlimited, My Way plans that start at $65 a month after a special discount of $15. Users can also opt to go for the network's new Unlimited, My Way plan or My All-in plan with talk, text and data.

"Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Galaxy Gear provides our customers with a wireless experience like no other," David Owens, Sprint vice president-Product Development, said in a press statement. "Sprint and Samsung have been partners in innovation for many years, and this combination of the right device on the right rate plans is exciting for our customers. While other wireless providers are moving away from unlimited service, we know these types of devices will only increase the amount of data our customers use each month, and they shouldn't be restricted to using their smartphones when their wireless provider wants; customers should be able to use their smartphone when they want, the way they want."

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of the very first devices available on Sprint's One-Up program, launched September 20. The device will be available in Classic White and Jet Black colors. The Galaxy GEAR will be available in Jet Black, Oatmeal Beige and Wild Orange.
