There is a large amount of hype surrounding “The Blacklist” as the season premiere airs tonight. Everyone’s ready to hear the story of Raymond Reddington and his crafty plan for the FBI. So, before the season premiere hits the small screen tonight, here is my wishlist for The Blacklist. (See what I did there.)

No.1—A big reveal in the opening.

Since there was so much build up to tonight’s premiere, I want to be left staring at my television once the premiere comes to a close. I need to be left with a cliffhanger that is worthy of the show “The Blacklist” is supposed to be.

No. 2—A unsuspected connection

There was extreme speculation prior to the season premiere that Reddington is Liz’s father—please don’t let that be their connection. (I admit I didn’t see that one coming with Olivia Pope in “Scandal” but I would be more than expecting it this time.) I need something crazy like Liz had helped Reddington in one of his many crimes before and she didn’t even know it. Or maybe it’s not Liz that’s connected to Reddington but her husband? I can’t wait to see how creative the writers get.

No. 3—An escape

Since Reddington is such a big bad mastermind, I need him to run at least once. You can’t tell us he’s up there on the FBI’s Most Wanted list and then not have him show of his skills at least once. I want to see him run circles around the FBI for at an episode or two.

“The Blacklist” premiers tonight at 10/9c on NBC.
