After four years as a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent," Howard Stern said his goodbyes.

In an emotional video of the 61-year-old talk show host walking through New York, the city he grew up in, the city he works in, and the city he is proud to call home, Stern looks back on what he loved most about judging a show he never thought he'd be a part of.

"New York is just kinda who I am. I feel really fortunate that I could be the guy responsible for bringing the show to New York," he said in the video, as he walked the streets greeting fans. "When I was a kid, if you would've said to me one day you'll be on live television from radio city music hall, I wouldn't have believed you."

As for why he, the extremely successful and hilarious R-rated talk show host, decided to join a family show, he said he wanted to make a difference in other people's lives.

"If I had any dream about this, it's that I could take someone who was struggling and seriously give advice," he explained. "I was told over and over again that I had no talent. I was in college radio. No one was banking on me."

The show brought him a fan base he never thought he would have in his career. "I'll go to a restaurant and parents will bring over their 10-year-olds to sit on my lap and take a picture," he says. "I'm like 'Oh my god.' It's kind of funny to me because this never happened to me in my career."

Back in June, Stern announced on his SiriusXM satellite radio talk show that he would be leaving "AGT." He said that he would be moving on to another TV show, which went unmentioned and still has not yet been revealed.
